President Bola Tinubu has constituted the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election, appointing former Zamfara State Governor and Senator Abdulaziz Yari as its Director-General. Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State was named Secretary, while Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima will serve as chairman and vice-chairman respectively.
The 223-member council also includes APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as Vice Chairman II, while National Secretary Ajibola Bashiru and Hadiza Bala-Usman will serve as Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary. Other members include senior party officials, governors, lawmakers and political leaders assigned to various directorates and coordination roles.
The council will coordinate the APC’s campaign activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election as Tinubu seeks a second term. Yari has accepted the appointment, thanking the President and APC leadership for the confidence placed in him.
