The Ondo State Government has ordered the fumigation of the Igbokoda River and the distribution of health kits to residents following a fatal Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in the area.

The crash occurred near Igbokoda, in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, on October 5.
The government’s response comes amid concerns about the possible effects of the crash on the surrounding river and communities that depend on local waterways for fishing and other economic activities. Fumigation and the distribution of health kits are intended to support residents while relevant authorities assess the situation.
The Nigerian Air Force has also continued its investigation into the accident. In a separate update published on Wednesday, October 14, the Air Force confirmed that additional components had been recovered from the wreckage during ongoing recovery operations.
