Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has congratulated Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the August 15 governorship election. Abiodun described the result as a reflection of the democratic process and wished Adeleke success as he begins another term in office.
The Ogun governor also commended President Bola Tinubu for what he described as providing a level playing field for all political parties and candidates during the election. Abiodun said Tinubu demonstrated his commitment to democracy by allowing the electoral process to proceed without undue interference.
Adeleke was declared winner after securing 403,371 votes, defeating APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 394,684 votes. The outcome has attracted congratulatory messages from political leaders across the country, with several commending Osun voters and the electoral process.
