Businessman Farooq Oreagba, popularly known as “Mr Steeze,” has revealed that he was a dollar millionaire by the age of 30 but found himself working as a labourer in England just five years later after losing his banking job. Speaking on the MENtality show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and co-hosted by Banky W, Oreagba said the dramatic reversal taught him that wealth and status should never be valued above life, health and meaningful relationships.
Oreagba explained that after losing his banking career while pursuing another dream, he struggled to maintain his lifestyle and took on manual labour and other jobs in England to survive. Despite his financial difficulties, he said many people were unaware of his situation because he continued to project an image of success, adding that the experience forced him to rethink his priorities and redefine what truly matters in life.
Now approaching his 60th birthday, Oreagba said his values have changed significantly, stressing that money should never come before health and personal fulfilment. He noted that his viral appearance at the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival brought him widespread public recognition, but maintained that resilience, gratitude and perspective remain the most important lessons from his journey.
