The Katsina State Government has launched an education support programme targeted at 5,075 beneficiaries as part of efforts to expand access to education and provide additional assistance to students across the state.
The programme was flagged off by the Katsina State Government on September 9, 2026, according to the Voice of Nigeria (VON). The initiative is aimed at supporting beneficiaries and reducing some of the financial barriers that can prevent young people from accessing or continuing their education.
The intervention comes as governments across Nigeria continue to face pressure to improve educational access and strengthen support systems for students, particularly as the cost of education and other living expenses continues to affect households.
