Defending champions Nigeria will take on Cameroon in a highly anticipated quarter-final clash at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, with a place in the semi-finals and automatic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup on the line. The Falcons are also unbeaten in five previous matches at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, recording four wins and one draw, and have won both of their previous WAFCON quarter-finals without conceding. Cameroon, meanwhile, have suffered only one defeat in their last 12 WAFCON matches in regulation time, that loss coming against Nigeria in the 2022 quarter-finals. The winner of Sunday’s encounter will book a semi-final place and secure automatic qualification for the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
