The incident reportedly occurred while IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., was livestreaming from the stands when an individual allegedly made a racist remark toward him. FIFA said it was aware of the incident and immediately launched an investigation, reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance on racism and discrimination in football.
According to videos circulating online, the alleged abuse came from a supporter wearing an Argentina shirt, who was heard making a racist comment during the livestream. FIFA condemned the incident, stating that discrimination has no place in football or society, and pledged to work with the relevant authorities to establish the facts and take appropriate action if necessary.
