\n\nPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been formally received with full state honours at Windsor Castle as part of his ongoing state visit to the United Kingdom. He was welcomed by King Charles III and Queen Camilla in a grand ceremony that featured a carriage procession, military parade, and inspection of the Guard of Honour.
The visit marks a historic moment, being the first state visit by a Nigerian president to the UK in nearly four decades. During the ceremony, both national anthems were played as British troops in traditional regalia lined up in honour of the visiting leader. The event also highlighted strong diplomatic ties between Nigeria and the UK, reinforced by cultural and economic cooperation.
Tinubu is expected to hold high-level meetings with British officials, including the Prime Minister, while also participating in key symbolic activities such as a state banquet and visits to historic sites. The visit is seen as an opportunity to deepen bilateral relations, boost trade, and strengthen engagement with the Nigerian diaspora in the UK.
