\n\nSenegal has rejected the Confederation of African Football (CAF)’s decision to strip them of the 2025 AFCON title and award the trophy to Morocco, describing the ruling as unfair and unacceptable. The CAF Appeal Board ruled that Senegal forfeited the final after players briefly walked off the pitch in protest during the match, converting their 1–0 extra-time win into a 3–0 victory for Morocco. 
The controversy stems from a dramatic final in Rabat, where Senegal protested a late penalty decision before returning to complete the game and win. However, CAF later determined that the walkout violated competition rules, particularly provisions that penalize teams for leaving the field without authorization. 
In response, the Senegalese Football Federation has announced it will take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), insisting the decision lacks legal and sporting fairness. The move sets up a major legal battle that could potentially overturn one of the most controversial rulings in African football history
