Tinubu Begins State Visit to the United Kingdom
\n\nPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja for a state visit to the United Kingdom, following an invitation from King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The Nigerian leader, accompanied by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, is scheduled to be hosted at Windsor Castle during the visit, which runs from March 18 to March 19.

The trip marks a historic moment in Nigeria-UK relations, as it will be the first state visit by a Nigerian president to Britain in about 37 years. During the visit, Tinubu is expected to hold private discussions with King Charles III and also meet with the UK Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street. Talks are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, migration, and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Government officials say the visit reflects the long-standing diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom and is aimed at deepening strategic partnerships across several sectors. Analysts also believe the engagement could open new opportunities for economic collaboration and reinforce ties with the large Nigerian diaspora community in Britain.
