\n\nFormer Bayelsa State governor and senator representing Bayelsa West, Seriake Dickson, has said many Nigerians are increasingly frustrated with the current situation in the country and are eager for political change ahead of the 2027 general elections. Dickson made the remark in Abuja during the unveiling of the digital membership registration portal of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), a newly formed political platform. 
According to the senator, widespread dissatisfaction with governance and economic hardship has made citizens more determined to seek alternatives in the coming elections. He stated that “Nigerians are angry with the status quo” and also “hungry for change,” adding that the NDC aims to provide a new political vehicle for Nigerians who want reforms and improved leadership. 
Dickson described the new party as a pan-Nigerian political movement focused on ideology, national development, and wider participation through its digital membership system. He encouraged Nigerians seeking meaningful political change to join the platform early, noting that the party is building structures across states and communities as it prepares to play a role in future elections.
