\n\nThe Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has denied reports claiming that it arrested Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja. The anti-graft agency said a viral video circulating on social media alleging the judge’s arrest is false and misleading, urging the public to disregard the claim. 
In a statement issued by ICPC spokesperson John Odey, the commission clarified that it has neither arrested nor invited the judge for questioning and is not conducting any investigation against him. The agency stressed that the video was designed to misinform the public and damage reputations. 
The ICPC also noted that it does not have the mandate to investigate serving judicial officers, adding that it holds the judiciary and its officers in high regard. The commission urged Nigerians to rely on official statements and verify information before sharing it online in order to prevent the spread of false reports.
