\n\nThe Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of petrol by ₦100 per litre, lowering its ex-depot (gantry) price from ₦1,175 to ₦1,075 per litre. The refinery announced the adjustment after a decline in global crude oil prices, which recently fell below $90 per barrel following earlier spikes in the international oil market. 
According to the refinery’s latest pricing template, petrol supplied through coastal distribution channels will now sell for about ₦1,050 per litre, reflecting additional logistics costs tied to maritime transportation. The price cut also extends to diesel, whose ex-depot price has been reduced, signaling a broader adjustment in the refinery’s product pricing. 
Industry analysts say the downward adjustment could provide temporary relief for marketers and consumers, especially after several price increases recorded in recent weeks. Observers expect the change to gradually influence retail pump prices across Nigeria, although final prices will still depend on transportation costs, marketers’ margins and distribution logistics in different parts of the country
