\n\nThe All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State has been described as the most formidable political party ahead of the 2027 general elections, according to Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu. Speaking after a strategic meeting of APC leaders and stakeholders, Kalu said recent efforts to strengthen party structures, resolve internal disputes and unite key figures have positioned the party for greater cohesion and electoral readiness. He praised the leadership of National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and expressed confidence that the party’s renewed unity will translate into success at the polls.
The meeting, held in Abuja, brought together top APC officials including members of the National Working Committee and prominent state leaders, as well as assurances of support from Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. Party leaders underscored their commitment to eliminating factionalism and building an inclusive platform focused on discipline, purpose and growth for Abia State. The development comes amid broader political activity in the South-East as parties prepare and reposition ahead of next year’s elections, with opposition figures insisting the race will be competitive despite the APC’s claims of strength.
