The Osun State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the shooting of Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as Emir Ajagungbade, at Mayfair Motor Park in Ile-Ife. The incident occurred on Sunday during a clash involving the deceased and a group of drivers reportedly led by a man identified as Sibi. The shooting sparked tension in the area, prompting the deployment of police operatives to restore order and secure the scene.The police confirmed that Oyeyemi was shot during the confrontation but said investigations were still ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible. The clash was reportedly linked to a dispute over the leadership and control of the motor park. Following the incident, security personnel were deployed to prevent further violence and maintain peace in the affected areas.Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, confirmed Oyeyemi’s death and directed the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zungura, to ensure that those responsible for the killing were brought to justice.
