Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri has completed a season-long loan move to Borussia Dortmund, with the German club covering his wages and no option to buy included in the agreement. The 19-year-old England Under-21 international spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille, and Arsenal believe another temporary move will provide him with more regular first-team football.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have completed the signing of Iliman Ndiaye from Everton for an initial £60m, with a further £5m potentially payable in add-ons. City turned to the Senegal international after Liverpool rejected their approach for Cody Gakpo, while Tottenham had also been in advanced negotiations for Ndiaye.
Other notable deadline-day moves included Gabriel Jesus joining Barcelona for about £8.6m, Fabio Vieira moving from Arsenal to Hamburg, Newcastle signing Matias Fernández-Pardo for £51m, and Nick Woltemade joining Juventus on loan. Manchester City were also involved in late negotiations with Chelsea for Enzo Fernández in a potential British-record deal as the Premier League window approached its 11pm BST deadline.
