The Snaresbrook Crown Court in London has officially confirmed that Nigerian dancer and hypeman Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, will appear before the court on September 15, 2026, over assault charges. The court’s administration confirmed that the case has been listed for plea and trial preparation, although the exact time and courtroom will only be released shortly before the hearing.
The confirmation follows reports that Poco Lee is currently being held on remand in the United Kingdom. Benjamin Kuti, founder of the Community of Nigerians in the UK, had earlier said the entertainer was expected to attend a plea hearing, where he could indicate whether he intended to plead guilty or not guilty.
Further reports citing the court indicate that the allegations involve attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. However, Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence and remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
