Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is currently being held on remand in the United Kingdom and is expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, over an alleged assault offence. The development was confirmed by Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as the Oluomo of Derby and founder of a Nigerian community group in the UK.

Kuti said Poco Lee’s appearance, scheduled for 10 a.m., is expected to be a plea hearing, during which the entertainer would ordinarily indicate whether he intends to plead guilty or not guilty. Kuti added that he plans to attend the proceedings to support Poco Lee and other Nigerians facing legal challenges in the UK.

Details surrounding the alleged offence remain limited, and earlier reports did not identify the complainant or provide full circumstances of the incident. It was also reported that there had been no initial independent confirmation from UK police or the court. Poco Lee remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
