\n\nPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), with the appointment taking effect from August 27, 2026.
Enitan will succeed Didi Esther Walson-Jack, who is due to retire from the Federal Civil Service after attaining the statutory retirement age of 60.
The Presidency said the new Head of Service is expected to build on ongoing reforms within the Federal Civil Service while strengthening professionalism, efficiency, accountability and innovation across government institutions.
President Tinubu also charged Enitan to lead a more responsive and merit-driven civil service capable of delivering effectively on the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The appointment comes as the Federal Government continues efforts to reform public administration and improve the effectiveness of government institutions.
Enitan’s tenure is therefore expected to focus on strengthening service delivery, improving administrative efficiency and consolidating reforms already introduced within the federal civil service.
