Nestlé Supports 50 Women-Owned Businesses in Kaduna With Training and Product Grants
\n\nNestlé Nigeria has expanded its support for women entrepreneurs in Kaduna State, providing 50 women retailers in Zaria with business training and product grants as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen women-led enterprises.

The initiative, which has now reached its fifth year, is being implemented under Nestlé’s Empowering Rural Women Initiative, designed to help women in rural and underserved communities build stronger and more sustainable businesses.

The beneficiaries in Zaria received practical business training alongside product grants aimed at helping them improve their retail operations, increase sales and strengthen their household incomes.

The company said the initiative is focused on addressing some of the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, particularly limited access to business knowledge, resources and opportunities for growth.

The latest intervention comes as small businesses continue to play an important role in Nigeria’s economy, providing livelihoods and employment for millions of people.

By equipping women with business skills and resources, the programme is expected to help beneficiaries make better business decisions, expand their customer base and improve the sustainability of their enterprises.

The initiative also highlights the growing role of private-sector organisations in supporting entrepreneurship and economic inclusion across Nigerian communities.

Nestlé Nigeria said it remains committed to initiatives that empower women economically and contribute to the development of local communities.

The company’s latest support for the 50 Zaria retailers is part of a broader five-year effort aimed at helping rural women participate more effectively in economic activities.
