A 47-year-old woman has been arrested after four men were stabbed in Covent Garden, a busy tourist district in central London. The attack occurred on Endell Street on Wednesday afternoon, with the Metropolitan Police describing it as an isolated incident believed to be linked to a mental health crisis.
Police said the victims, aged between 34 and 52, were taken to hospital for treatment. Two have since been discharged, while the remaining two continue to receive medical care for injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Officers recovered a pair of scissors, believed to have been used in the attack, and arrested the suspect on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
Authorities have reassured the public that there is no wider threat, adding that investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. The Metropolitan Police said they will maintain an increased presence in the area while inquiries continue.
