The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates. The examination body announced the release on Wednesday, directing candidates to generate a result-checking PIN through its official platform before accessing their results online.
A total of 1,950,726 candidates sat for the examination, with 1,200,514 candidates (61.54%) obtaining at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics. WAEC also disclosed that 167,486 results (8.59%) have been withheld over alleged examination malpractice, while some results are still being processed.
Candidates can generate their result-checking PIN through the official WAEC portal and access their results on the WAEC Direct website. The council advised candidates experiencing delays due to heavy traffic to remain patient and try again later.
