President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the new national headquarters of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria in Surulere, Lagos, commending the Islamic organisation for its more than a century of contributions to education, healthcare, humanitarian services and community development. Represented by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, the President said the new secretariat reflects the society’s enduring commitment to national development and service to humanity.

Tinubu stressed that government alone cannot build the country and called on faith-based organisations and the private sector to partner with authorities in promoting education, compassion, religious tolerance and national progress. He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting freedom of religion while encouraging institutions such as Ansar-Ud-Deen to continue fostering peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

Speaking at the event, Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat urged the society to sustain its long-standing values, particularly in promoting education and moral development among young people. Ansar-Ud-Deen National President Adeniji Kazeem described the new headquarters as a symbol of the organisation’s renewed vision, noting that it would strengthen its mission of shaping future generations through scholarship, integrity and community service.
