Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has made an emotional appeal to Nigerians for financial support, saying she urgently needs ₦30 million to undergo three life-saving surgeries. In a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress revealed she has been hospitalised for the past three weeks and can no longer cope with the rising cost of her treatment.
Holding back tears, Nwosu pleaded with fans, friends, family and colleagues not to abandon her during what she described as one of the most difficult periods of her life. Although she did not disclose the nature of her illness, she urged Nigerians to share her appeal and contribute if possible, saying, “Please don’t let me die.”
The appeal comes more than a decade after the actress battled kidney- and heart-related complications, during which she received financial support from the Lagos State Government and members of the public to undergo treatment abroad. Her latest plea has sparked fresh calls from colleagues and fans for support as she prepares for another round of critical surgeries.
