The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has urged the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to adopt digital technology in the administration of justice to improve case management, records administration, and overall operational efficiency. He made the call in Abuja while receiving the Chairman of the CCT, Dr. Mainasara Umar Kogo, and members of the tribunal’s management team during a courtesy visit.
Akume said the tribunal should align with the Federal Government’s digital transformation agenda, stressing that modernising public institutions through technology, improved service delivery, and stronger inter-agency collaboration remains a key priority of the Tinubu administration. He also commended the CCT for its role in promoting integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct in Nigeria’s public service, describing it as a vital pillar in the country’s anti-corruption framework.
The SGF reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening public institutions and upholding the rule of law, while assuring the tribunal of continued support within the scope of his office’s mandate. He emphasised that embracing digital innovation would help the CCT deliver justice more efficiently and enhance public confidence in its operations.
