The Ondo State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects over alleged involvement in armed robbery, violent land disputes, and other criminal activities across parts of the state. The arrests followed intelligence-led operations carried out by tactical police teams in Akure and other locations, with authorities recovering several dangerous weapons during the raids.
According to the command, the suspects include individuals linked to a notorious interstate armed robbery syndicate and others accused of participating in violent clashes over land ownership. Police also recovered firearms, ammunition, cutlasses, charms, and other items believed to have been used in criminal operations.
The Ondo State Police Command said investigations are ongoing and that the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of inquiries. The command reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining operations against criminal elements and urged residents to continue providing credible information to support efforts aimed at improving security across the state.
