The management of Joseph Prince Films has dismissed widespread social media rumours claiming that popular TikToker and filmmaker Joseph Prince, popularly known as Joffy, has died. In a statement released on his official TikTok page, the management confirmed that Joffy is alive and receiving medical treatment after he was allegedly stabbed during a violent attack by street touts while returning from a promotional campaign for his upcoming film, The Last Bell.
According to the statement, Joffy and members of his production team were confronted by a group of touts who allegedly demanded money. The situation reportedly escalated into violence, with production equipment seized, a cast member’s phone stolen, and several team members assaulted. Joffy sustained a stab wound during the incident, while others suffered injuries and emotional trauma. The management urged the public to disregard false reports of his death and rely only on verified updates.
Following the attack, the release of The Last Bell has been postponed indefinitely to allow Joffy and the rest of the production team to recover. The management also thanked fans for their prayers and support, while appealing to the public to avoid spreading unverified information during this difficult period.
