The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of 50,000 successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as Police Constables following the completion of the nationwide recruitment exercise. The commission said the selection process was conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), describing the exercise as transparent, inclusive and merit-based.

Candidates who participated in the written examination have been advised to check their recruitment status through the official PSC recruitment portal, which becomes accessible from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Successful applicants will also receive notifications via the email addresses and phone numbers they provided during registration. They are expected to report to their designated Police Training Institutions for documentation and medical screening on dates to be announced by the commission.

The PSC warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period will be deemed to have declined the offer, while those who do not pass the mandatory medical examination will be disqualified. Successful recruits are required to report with their training call-up slip, National Identification Number (NIN) slip, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip, original and photocopies of their educational certificates, and other documents listed on the recruitment portal. PSC Chairman DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (retd.) congratulated the successful candidates and urged them to serve the nation with integrity, professionalism and dedication.
