The Nigerian Law School has announced its list of outstanding graduates for the 2026 Call to Bar, recognising exceptional academic performance across the Bar Part II examinations. Israel Adekunle Adeniyi emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student, earning the institution’s highest academic honour during the Call to Bar ceremonies held between July 7 and July 10 at the Body of Benchers Complex in Abuja. The awards also celebrated the best-performing students in individual courses and subject areas after thousands of successful candidates were formally admitted to the Nigerian Bar.

Among the top award recipients, Adetutu Loren Gomez was named Joint Female Best Graduating Student and Joint Second Overall Best Graduating Student, alongside Chiamaka Happiness Modestus, who also shared the Female Best Graduate honour. Timilehin Adebayo and Freedolyn Ani were recognised as the Joint Third Overall Best Graduating Students, reflecting the high standard of academic excellence achieved by the graduating class.

The Nigerian Law School said the awards are intended to honour graduates who distinguished themselves throughout their professional legal training and demonstrated exceptional performance in the Bar Final examinations. The annual recognition remains one of the most prestigious academic honours in Nigeria’s legal profession, celebrating excellence while encouraging future law graduates to uphold the highest standards of scholarship and professional practice.
