An associate of Nigerian music promoter Sam Larry has dismissed widespread rumours of his death following a fatal road accident, confirming that he is alive and responding to medical treatment. Speaking with PUNCH Online, the associate, Mr. LilGaGa (Abolade), said he spoke with Sam Larry just hours after the crash and assured the public that, although he sustained injuries, he survived the incident.
The accident reportedly occurred along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos, where the vehicle conveying Sam Larry collided with a trailer. While Sam Larry was rushed to hospital for treatment, the crash claimed the life of his bouncer, identified as Adewale (Wale), who reportedly died at the scene. The incident triggered a wave of false reports on social media claiming the music promoter had died, prompting his associate to publicly refute the claims.
As of the latest reports, Sam Larry remains under medical care, though the full extent of his injuries has not been officially disclosed.
