A member of the United States House of Representatives, Riley Moore, has said the administration of President Donald Trump will closely monitor Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, stressing that Washington will pay close attention to how the polls are conducted. The Republican lawmaker from West Virginia made the remarks during an interview with NoireTV, where he was asked about the United States’ role in supporting democracy and credible elections in Nigeria.
Moore said the United States expects Nigeria to uphold democratic principles by ensuring that the elections are free, fair and transparent.
