The Ogun State Police Command has recovered the Lexus RX300 that was reported missing from the residence of retired Ogun State Television broadcaster Kitan Oyesiku following her killing alongside her security guard in Owode-Egba, Ogun State. The recovery was confirmed on Monday as police intensified investigations into the tragic incident that has shocked residents and members of the media community.
According to the police, Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni personally visited the crime scene at Iyana Agodo Village for an on-the-spot assessment of the investigation. During the visit, he received updates from detectives handling the case and reiterated the command’s commitment to identifying and arresting all those responsible. Police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi disclosed that the stolen vehicle was recovered during an overnight operation and has since been secured as evidence in the ongoing investigation.
The case first came to light after a resident reported suspicious activities around Oyesiku’s residence. Detectives who responded to the scene discovered signs of forced entry and disturbance within the compound. The security guard was found dead at his duty post, while Oyesiku’s body was later discovered inside her apartment. Investigators also noticed that her vehicle was missing, raising suspicions that the attackers fled the scene with the car after the killings.
