\n\nAfrobeats stars Asake and Wizkid have achieved another major milestone as their hit collaboration, “MMS,” surpasses 100 million streams on Spotify.
The achievement, announced by music tracking platform The Debut Hub, marks Asake’s eighth and Wizkid’s 17th song to reach the milestone across all credits on the streaming platform.
The Grammy-nominated track has been praised for blending Asake’s energetic Yoruba-inspired sound with Wizkid’s smooth and melodic style, further highlighting the global appeal of Nigerian Afrobeats. “MMS” earned a nomination in the Best African Music Performance category at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, reflecting its international recognition.
The song, released as part of Asake’s Lungu Boy album in August 2024, has become the project’s most-streamed track and continues to attract listeners worldwide.
The success of “MMS” also adds to the strong partnership between both artistes, following their joint project Real Vol. 1 EP, which gained significant attention and commercial success after its release.
