\n\nVoting has concluded in several polling units across Ekiti State as the governorship election enters the result-counting phase. Residents voted across the state’s 2,445 polling units to choose the next governor among 14 candidates. While voter turnout was strong in some areas, participation was lower in others. Reports of vote-buying were also observed in multiple locations. Polling unit results are now being announced by presiding officers before progressing through ward and local government collation stages, with the final statewide collation expected at the INEC headquarters in Ado-Ekiti. Ekiti has over 1.02 million eligible voters who collected their PVCs and were qualified to participate in the election.
