Suspected assailants attacked and set the Isan Police Station in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State ablaze on Friday evening, leaving two police officers injured, one of whom is reportedly in a coma. The attackers destroyed several vehicles, a generator, and other equipment, causing extensive damage to the station. Police Mobile Force operatives were said to have repelled the attackers before they could take over the community, and security has since been restored. The incident adds to a series of attacks on police facilities in Ekiti over the years, while the state police command is yet to issue an official statement.
