The Federal Government has declared Wednesday and Thursday as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration across Nigeria. The announcement was made on Monday by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani. (punchng.com)
In the statement, the minister congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of the Islamic festival, urging citizens to use the period to pray for peace, unity, and national progress.
