The All Progressives Congress has released the names of House of Representatives aspirants disqualified from participating in the party’s primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections. The list, released by APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, covered aspirants from Ondo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kogi, and Rivers states. 
According to the party, the screening committees assessed aspirants based on APC guidelines and eligibility requirements before determining who would be cleared for the primaries. However, the APC did not publicly provide detailed reasons for the disqualification of the affected aspirants.

• Sanni Salau Ogembe — Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency 
Rivers State
• Air Commodore John Azubuike Opara (rtd) — Port Harcourt Federal Constituency

The Rivers disqualifications have generated the strongest political reactions, as several of the affected aspirants are believed to be loyalists of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara amid the continuing political rivalry within the state APC. 
The APC primaries are part of the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections, with screening controversies and internal disputes already surfacing in several states across the country.
