President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday returned to Lagos after concluding a three-nation diplomatic tour that took him to France, Kenya, and Rwanda. The presidential aircraft landed at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, where he was received by top government officials and political associates. 
Tinubu’s trip began earlier this month with engagements in France before proceeding to Kenya and later Rwanda, where he participated in the 2026 Africa CEO Forum held in Kigali. During the forum, the President met African business leaders and foreign investors while promoting Nigeria as a destination for investment and economic partnerships. 
According to the Presidency, the visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding trade opportunities, and attracting foreign investment into Nigeria. Discussions during the trip reportedly covered infrastructure development, energy transition, technology partnerships, regional security cooperation, and economic reforms being implemented by the Nigerian government. 
Tinubu’s return comes amid increasing political activity ahead of the 2027 elections and ongoing debates over the administration’s economic reforms. The Presidency has continued to defend the government’s policies, insisting that current reforms are necessary to stabilise the economy and position Nigeria for long-term growth.
