\n\nThe faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with Nyesom Wike has dismissed claims that the party is without leadership following the recent Supreme Court judgment, insisting that its structure remains intact. Party spokesman Jungudo Mohammed stated that Acting National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed and National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu are still the recognised leaders, contrary to narratives suggesting otherwise. 
The clarification follows a split Supreme Court ruling that invalidated the PDP’s 2025 Ibadan national convention, which had produced a rival leadership under Kabiru Turaki. While another faction, backed by Board of Trustees chairman Adolphus Wabara, interpreted the judgment as creating a vacuum and announced a takeover, the Wike-backed group rejected that position as misleading and unconstitutional. 
According to the Wike-aligned camp, the apex court only addressed the legality of the convention and did not suspend or remove any party officials, stressing that no issue of leadership removal was before the court. They accused Wabara and others of distorting the judgment to seize control of the party, maintaining that there is no faction or vacuum and warning members against what they described as “false narratives.”
