The Osun State Government has rejected claims by the All Progressives Congress (APC) that public schools in the state are suffering from poor infrastructure and a shortage of teachers, describing the allegations as misleading and politically motivated. The response came from the Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission, Temitope Mustapha, during an official education workshop in Osogbo. 
According to the government, education remains a top priority under Governor Ademola Adeleke, with ongoing efforts to improve facilities and staffing across both urban and rural schools. Authorities stated that no school is being abandoned or shut down, adding that newly recruited teachers have been deployed to underserved areas to strengthen manpower. Officials also pointed to improved academic performance, noting that the state recently rose significantly in national rankings for external examinations. 
The rebuttal follows accusations by APC campaign figures who claimed that schools lack buildings, teachers, and student enrollment. However, the state government dismissed these assertions as false narratives aimed at discrediting its education reforms, insisting that ongoing investments and policy measures are already yielding visible progress in school development and student outcomes.
