Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called for stronger international investment partnerships during engagements in London, as part of efforts to position Lagos as a leading global economic hub. He emphasised that the state is actively seeking collaborations with global investors, financial institutions, and development partners to accelerate infrastructure development and economic growth. 
Speaking on Lagos’ investment drive, Sanwo-Olu highlighted the state’s strategic vision to attract, structure, and deploy global capital into key sectors such as infrastructure, trade, and financial services. He noted that Lagos is not just aiming to host investment discussions but to convert them into real, bankable projects that will drive economic expansion and job creation. 
The governor also pointed to initiatives like the Invest Lagos platform, which brings together international investors, multinational corporations, and policymakers to deepen cross-border partnerships. According to him, Lagos is positioning itself as Africa’s gateway for capital flows, with structured frameworks designed to ensure that investment commitments translate into tangible development outcomes. 
Sanwo-Olu further assured potential partners of the state government’s commitment to providing a stable business environment, improved infrastructure, and investor-friendly policies. The move underscores Lagos’ broader ambition to strengthen its global competitiveness and secure long-term partnerships that will support sustainable economic growth.
