Former Ogun State governor and current senator, Gbenga Daniel, has claimed he was denied entry into an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting in Ogun State, describing the incident as shocking and unacceptable. The development reportedly occurred during a caucus meeting in Ijebu-Ode, where party leaders and stakeholders had gathered. 
According to Daniel, he arrived at the venue of the meeting but was stopped from entering by individuals stationed at the gate. In a video circulating online, he expressed surprise at the situation, stating that he was officially invited but was still prevented from participating. He told supporters outside the venue that any decisions taken at the meeting should be considered “null and void” due to his exclusion. 
Eyewitness accounts indicated that the situation caused tension at the venue, with some party faithful chanting in support of the senator as he addressed them from outside. The meeting itself reportedly continued despite the standoff, with party stakeholders proceeding with discussions and political alignments ahead of the 2027 elections. 
The incident highlights growing internal tensions within the APC in Ogun State, especially amid ongoing political positioning and competition for future electoral tickets.
