The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, 2026. The announcement was made on Sunday, confirming that a total of 1,264,940 results from the two days are now available for candidates to check. 
JAMB noted that this latest batch adds to the 632,752 results earlier released for candidates who wrote the exam on Thursday, April 16. This brings the total number of released results so far to 1,897,692, as the nationwide examination continues in phases. 
The board also addressed the earlier delay in releasing the Friday results, apologising to candidates and explaining that it was due to administrative reasons. It assured candidates that the issue had been resolved and reaffirmed its commitment to timely result processing going forward. 
Candidates have been advised to check their results through JAMB’s official SMS channels by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration. The board emphasised that only authorised channels should be used to avoid misinformation or fraud.
