\n\nThe African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced a new venue for its much-anticipated national convention scheduled to hold on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Abuja. The party confirmed that the event will now take place at the Rainbow Event Centre, located in the Garki area of the Federal Capital Territory. The decision was made public through the party’s official communication channels, with officials emphasizing that the venue offers a central and accessible location for delegates arriving from across the country. 
The development comes after earlier uncertainty surrounding the convention venue, as the party struggled to secure approval for initial locations. ADC officials had reportedly sought permission to use Eagle Square and also explored facilities at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, but these efforts were unsuccessful. The situation sparked concerns within the party, especially with less than 24 hours to the scheduled event, raising fears that the convention could be disrupted. 
Despite the challenges, the party leadership expressed confidence that the new venue will ensure a smooth and well-coordinated convention. The ADC noted that hosting the event in Abuja underscores its national significance and reflects its readiness to bring together stakeholders for key decisions ahead of future elections.
