The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Borno State has declared its full readiness to contest and win the 2027 general elections, saying it is strengthening its grassroots structure and mobilization ahead of the polls. Party leaders made the declaration during a strategic engagement in Maiduguri, where they reaffirmed their commitment to expanding membership and consolidating political influence across the state. The party emphasized that its goal is to present itself as a strong alternative to the ruling party in Borno.

According to party officials, the ADC has intensified efforts to resolve internal disagreements and unify its various factions in order to present a more cohesive front ahead of the elections. They stated that recent reconciliation efforts and restructuring within the party have boosted confidence among members and supporters. The leadership also highlighted ongoing membership drives and outreach programmes aimed at increasing participation at the ward and local government levels, which they believe will be crucial for electoral success.

The party further noted that its strategy focuses on building a broad coalition of supporters, including youths, women, and defectors from other political parties, as part of its long-term plan to challenge dominant political structures in the state. ADC leaders maintained that growing interest in the party signals a shift in political dynamics ahead of 2027, with increased engagement from communities seeking alternative leadership. They expressed optimism that sustained mobilisation and unity would position the party strongly in the upcoming elections.
