The Department of State Services (DSS) detained and later released some officials of the Kano State Government following a petition alleging defamation by former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
According to reports, the officials were invited and questioned by the DSS over statements linked to the petition, which reportedly accused them of making defamatory remarks against Kwankwaso amid ongoing political tensions in Kano.
