\n\nA fatal accident has claimed the life of one person while four others sustained injuries along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The crash occurred at the Lifemate axis of the busy highway in the early hours of Wednesday, around 7 a.m. 
According to officials from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, the accident involved a Toyota Highlander SUV and a DAF truck loaded with cocoa. Eyewitness accounts revealed that the SUV rammed into the rear of the moving truck, with the impact causing severe damage and leading to the death of the driver. 
Out of the five occupants in the SUV, the driver died while the remaining four sustained varying degrees of injuries. Authorities confirmed that relatives of the deceased later evacuated the body, while the injured victims received attention. The incident adds to a growing number of accidents on the expressway, often linked to speeding and poor driving conditions, raising continued concerns over road safety on one of Nigeria’s busiest highways.
