Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a pastor and his wife in Lagos after discovering 11 kilograms of skunk concealed inside their vehicle. The suspects, identified as Pastor Afolabi Hodonu and his wife, were apprehended at the Gbaji checkpoint along the Seme border in Badagry following a search of their Honda Pilot SUV. 
According to the agency, the illicit drugs were carefully hidden in modified compartments of the vehicle, suggesting a deliberate attempt to evade detection. The arrest was linked to earlier intelligence operations after officials had intercepted another suspect transporting a larger quantity of drugs along the same route, which led investigators to the couple. 
The NDLEA stated that the operation is part of a broader nationwide crackdown on drug trafficking networks, stressing that no individual will be spared regardless of status or profession. Authorities also confirmed additional arrests and seizures across the country, reinforcing efforts to dismantle drug supply chains and combat illicit drug distribution in Nigeria.
