Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has visited Sayaya village in Matazu Local Government Area following a recent bandit attack that left destruction in its wake. During the нападение, gunmen reportedly ambushed a police station, killed a policeman, attacked a Primary Health Care Centre, and looted several shops in the community.
During his visit, the governor inspected the damaged facilities, including the health centre and affected businesses, to assess the extent of the destruction. He also met with residents and security personnel, expressing sympathy to victims and families affected by the violence, as well as condoling with police officers over the loss of their colleague.
Radda subsequently ordered the immediate deployment of additional security operatives to the area to strengthen safety and prevent further attacks. The visit highlights ongoing concerns over rising insecurity in Katsina State, with authorities under pressure to protect communities and curb repeated bandit assaults across the region.
