Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have launched a fresh attack on a community in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, destroying homes and businesses in a late-night raid. The incident occurred in Awapul village around 1:30 a.m., when gunmen stormed the area in large numbers, firing sporadically before setting properties ablaze. 
According to the Borno State Police Command, no lives were lost, but the attackers caused extensive damage to houses and shops, leaving many residents displaced. Witnesses said the insurgents operated for over an hour and arrived on motorcycles, a tactic commonly associated with such attacks in the region. 
Following the нападение, several residents fled to safer areas, including Chibok town, seeking refuge. Community members have called on the government to strengthen security presence, stressing that their primary need is protection to prevent further হামলo and allow them to resume normal life amid ongoing insecurity in Borno State.
